Is Generous NEMT Service licensed and insured ?
The Michigan Department of Transportation requires that all Wheelchair van companies have a DOT inspection of each vehicle annually, and sets minimum requirements for insurance. Generous Transportation has a current “Limousine Authority” from the State of Michigan, and meets all of the required guidelines for insurance and safety equipment.
How much notice do I need to give for transportation?
We ask that you give us 24 to 48 hours notice, but same day service is available when the schedule permits.
Curb to Curb?
The transit vehicle picks up and discharges passengers at the curb or driveway in front of their home or destination. In curb-to-curb service the driver does not assist the passenger along walks or steps to the door of the home or other destination.
Door through Door?
Where the driver actually provides assistance within the origin or destination.
Door to Door?
A form of paratransit service that includes passenger assistance between the vehicle and the door of the passenger’s home or other destination. A higher level of service than curb-to-curb.
